Infrastructure Asset Recycling

The Sydney Business Chamber supports the recycling of public infrastructure assets, notably the recent long term lease of the electricity poles and wires and the reinvestment of these proceeds into new infrastructure projects for Sydney and NSW.
The Sydney Business Chamber partnered with business and consumer groups in the Repowering NSW campaign to support the lease of the electricity assets to provide funding for new infrastructure projects across NSW.

The NSW Government has finalised the process of leasing the electricity networks which has secured $20 billion in additional funding for infrastructure projects.  The Sydney Business Chamber is continuing to monitor and comment on the Government’s plans for new infrastructure projects across Sydney.
