Western Sydney is missing out on Australia’s booming destination holiday park market because of an undersupply of quality holiday parks in the region, according to this report commissioned by the Sydney Business Chamber, Western Sydney and the Caravan & Camping Industry Association NSW.
Western Sydney is missing out on Australia’s booming destination holiday park market because of an undersupply of quality holiday parks in the region, according to this report commissioned by the Sydney Business Chamber, Western Sydney and the Caravan & Camping Industry Association NSW.

This report found that areas such as the Western Sydney Parklands, Liverpool, Campbelltown, Camden, Wollondilly, The Hawkesbury, Penrith and the Blue Mountains could potentially house destination holiday parks due to their proximity to green and open space, walking trails, cycleways and public transport.

Destination holidays parks are the missing piece of the Western Sydney visitor economy. The region has the open space that the inner suburbs of Sydney doesn't have and yet there is not a strong offering in this booming market sector.
